Welcome to Folklórico Challenge USA (FCUSA), the home of the fastest growing ballet folklórico dance competition in the United States. The FCUSA is produced by Latino Literacy Now (LLN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy in the Latino community while advancing the cause of reading as a means of self-fulfillment and improvement. LLN operates the Latino Book & Family Festivals and the annual International Latino Book Awards. Actor, Director and Community Activist, Edward James Olmos is the Chairman of the Board of Latino Literacy Now and the hands on Producer of the Book Festival series as well as the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.

In 2009 regional Folklórico Challenge USA (FCUSA) competitions will be held in Los Angeles and Houston.

• Los Angeles, CA – October 10-11 (during the Latino Book & Family Festival).

• Houston, TX – December 5-6 (during the Houston Latino Book & Family Festival)

Junior: ages up to 10
Senior: from 11 to 17
Adult: 18 and over
