Exciting things are happening as we get ready for a new home and new partners for the long-running Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival. Over the past few years we have been searching for the perfect home for the Los Angeles Festival. We feel that California State University Los Angeles is that home. With complete cooperation from University Administration, a variety of student groups and college departments, including Chicano Studies, we have put together a new planning team that will allow us to commit to more literacy themed initiatives in the coming years and to providing attendees and exhibitors alike with a more exciting, rewarding festival experience.

Early programmed seminars and panel discussions include: a \”Contemporary Latina Authors\” panel featuring many of the hottest Latina authors in the country; an \”Editors Panel\”; a \”Tribute to the Boy Scout’s 100^th Anniversary\” featuring Chief Scout Bob Mazzuca and hundreds of scouts from local area troops; and \”The Positive Effects Of Mariachi On The Education of Hispanic Youth.\” Keep watch on this page for ongoing announcements about new authors and special guests for our 12th annual Festival in the nation\’s number one Latino market.
