Empowering Latino Futures, formerly Latino Literacy Now, is the nonprofit (IRS #33-0868486) creator of the Latino Book & Family Festivals since 1997. It focuses on educational, author, community building and content issues affecting underserved communities.


MiraCosta College provides superior educational opportunities and student support services for a diverse population of learners. Located in Oceanside, CA, the campus is an ideal venue with stunning views stretching from the mountains to the sea.

What to do at the festival

Over 25 authors attend the event.

The authors encourage engagement in reading and motivate others to write and see the world of literature with open eyes. Books in english and spanish.
